Hi Bdragon.

I love the module, and wish I could code to help out.

have you seen this module?
http://code.google.com/p/wordpress-geo-mashup/

it is ajax based(i think) with a 1 line location entry, which updates the map, showing the correct, or the possible locations.
This is without having to create the node (POST in wordpresses case)

very tidy..
just thought I would share.

Cheers
Craig

I moved to using the get locations module..

the current dev release also has implemented a Smart IP lookup for the default map location.

This enables a bunch of cool stuff..
When searching for an address, it can use the map default area as a bias for searching.
AND
the Users IP to set the default map location.

Works a treat!
