Hi,
First, the idea of posting content by email is great and, once in widespread use, will result in many more people actually updating their sites. So thanks to the developers of this module! Now my question:
mailhandler is set up and working on my site.
the commands are:
type: story
status: 1
format: 3
moderate: 0
mailhandler manages to get all emails I send it (I see retrieving message 1 of 1 when I click "retrieve").
I would expect to be able to see this new content in my content list.
yet the new content sent by email just seems to disappear completely once it is retrieved.
Where can I access this new content?
Thanks in advance,
Albert.

z.stolar commentedDo you see any messages in watchdog (recent log entries)?

alberto56 commentedHi again,
Watchdog says "Node submission failure: [email@example.com] may not create story items".
Yet...
I am user number 1 (the super-admin for this site) and my email is [email@example.com].
I tried assigning myself a role which has the explicit permission to create story items, but it still says "Node submission failure: [email@example.com] may not create story items"...
I then created a new user (not user number 1) with a different email, and gave that user the permission to create story items.
Still, I get "Node submission failure: [newuseremail@example.com] may not create story items"
Thanks for your help,
Albert.

z.stolar commentedPlease verify the rejected email address is the same as your user's one. I noticed that when I'm sending mail from thunderbird, using me@example.com, and using gmail as the smtp server, the mails where seen as if they came from my gmail account.
I guess this ought to be fixed, but first check if it is indeed your problem.
