Based on the code in http://drupal.org/node/175812

This is how far I got patching against 6.x.2.x. Unfortunately it brakes the view. It does its work on the administration page.

The following functions needs work, but I don't know exactly where to start:

img_assist_thumbs
img_assist_nodeapi

Well, I hope my little patch gives someone the boot to start on this/finish this.

Why did you open a new issue? The proper issue is the existing #175812: Imagefield support.
