This hasn´t been posted yet?
So sorry I´m not a programmer, I really, really need this.

Considering the time passed before anybody subscribed to this issue, I think it's quite clear virtually nobody uses this. So … consider this issue a low priority because I'm very, very busy.
It should be fairly straightforward for any programmer to port this. It doesn't have to be me.

It´s sad that nobody needs this, because it´s a huge advantage for books, it´s very much a usability issue, because books aren´t as alwas as usable with all those sublists of links...
In the case of FAQs it would be much better to use this module with.

Postponing this due to lack of interest.

I'm going to need this myself, so I'm gonna port it anyway.

Just to let you know I use this also-- it's the only thing that makes using books even a remotely viable option for hierarchical content. The monstrous drop down that results from even a couple of books with a few levels of hierarchy is a usability nightmare. hs is an amazing piece of work.
I don't think its so much that no one uses the hs book module as it is that development is moving away from the book module. It just so happens that the sites on which I use book & hs are still d5 so there just hasn't been a need for me to look at upgrading it yet-- though it looks like I may finally be upgrading them in the near future so I can help out with testing and maybe some dev.

Well, that´s great news!! Thanks!
I don´t like the book module myself, but as I need to use a selection of nodes as taxonomy.... and love the way HS handle selection... thought I could use those nodes as books and use HS, which it is an absolutely amazing module, you´re right.
Thanks again! yay!

Just wanted to check if it is working. I saw an active site using it : http://www.ubercart.org/site/14287#subscriptions
How can I contribute? I am very new to Drupal, but if my contribution can make this module work for Drupal 6, I could help.
What is the difference between Drupal 5 and 6?

That site is not using the Book module I think. You can contribute by porting hs_book to the D6 book API.
