I don't know weather it's a known issue cos I didn't find any replies on it in the forum.

In administer » settings project I have left the Release directory to be blank. I have created a project and it is not in cvs so left the link to cvs tree empty. I want to add a release file mannualy. I click on Add new release for that project and get the form. Fill in version, changes and click submit but there is no way to tell which file I want this release to be linked to.
The new release information appears next to download latest release like (rel-0.2 2005-10-18 13:30) when I click on it it takes me to the home page of the site. How can I link it to the file I want for that release.

Another thing I want to know is how can I link the proper file for "Read release notes" In the project page I have the option to give the link to change log but not for release notes.

I am using drupal 4.6.3 and project module version 4.6.0 with patches to fix blank pages etc. List of patches is
http://drupal.org/files/issues/patch-29050_2.txt
http://drupal.org/files/issues/patch-29061_0.txt
http://drupal.org/files/issues/release-download-path.patch
http://drupal.org/files/issues/projpag_dl.patch

Fast response is appreciated.
Thanks

Version: 4.6.x-1.x-dev » 5.x-1.0
Status: Active » Closed (fixed)

Manually adding project releases is what the "new" release system is all about. If you use 4.7.x-2.* or 5.x-*, this will be resolved.
