Correct if I am wrong. Only the album is a node, save in on of the the content type. but the image is not.
So when you are referring the Views and CCk, it's referring to the album but not the image?
Currently if provides latest images block. Just wonder if in the future, I can create Views of featured images, top rated images.
user's panel ..slideshow of images (view views) by this users (currently shows album)

This is what I'm looking into as well. As far as I can tell, uploaded images are not node...which kind of sucks.
Ideally we'd have each image be a node (i would assume of type image.module) which would allow for all sorts of extra features we can do with our uploaded images.
I'm requesting this feature as well.

Hello,
This thread is over a half year old. Are there any news - especially for views?
I have to create a field style display view with the existing Photos' slideshow album. Is there a way to get the slideshow through views at the moment?

I also looking for this future. But i not sure about development team of this module.
Quite long there is no update. This module was such a great for gallery image and i really like it.
Hope this project will continue soon with Views and CCK integration for next release.
