I have translated the IMCE module into Persian, but when I want to use it in my Persian website, the user interface is still shown in English.

I assume you have the i18n module installed?

Did you set the language to Persian in the Language settings on the user's page?

When I change that setting on my system, some parts of the IMCE interface appear in the other language, instead of English.

The Help, Upload, and Delete buttons all get 'automatically' translated in this way. Also some words, such as Navigation, KB and date get translated. Most other parts remain in English.

I don't understand why, because I haven't even installed any translations for IMCE, and I haven't made any attempt to display IMCE in any other language apart from English - I just downloaded the standard IMCE module and didn't add anything to it.

I guess it may be a function of the standard Content Translation (Translate Interface) module which is doing this.

It's not really an answer to your question, but maybe this information will help.

Thanks for your response. Yes, I have installed i18n module. Your guess was right; the IMCE module detects its user interface language using user's account properties. I thought it's mechanism is like other modules where the user interface language is detected using the language of the entire web site.
