Version 6.x-1.2 has imported *some* of my patches from this bug report: http://drupal.org/node/319441
Unfortunately, not all changes was imported, so module is still incompatible with PostgreSQL.

Attached patch fixes this problem and some other:
*) Module is compatible with PgSQL 8.x again
*) Bug with multiple mails sent to one recipient (http://drupal.org/node/351580) fixed too
*) Node author can change his node subscription via Edit interface (original module permits only set this flag once)
*) Entry from node subscription table deleted when node deleted.

It has been decided to merge Comment Subscribe module with the Comment Notify module as both currently have the same set of functionalities. We have stopped our support here and will be providing our support at the Comment Notify issue queue. To help you seamlessly migrate to Comment Notify, we have provided an easy migration pathway using the last update - 6.x-1.4.
