i would like the feed itself to be on the front so it setting is activated in the normal publishing workflow.
i have cleared the API setting to signify that feeditems should no longer go to the front; it wont obey...
should i set it at 0; which just occurred to me since the help info says you can leave it blank

aron novakIf you cleared that setting, this means that FeedAPI does not alter the promote setting. Check the feed item content-type setting!
For example: admin/content/node-type/story - "Promote...."

drupert55 commentedHello.
I have the same issue. I just changed the content type setting.
Once those items are on the front page, how to remove them off of that page without having to start all over? I want to keep all of the items.
Thanks in advance.

drupert55 commentedHello again.
For removing items from the frontpage, I found this info: http://drupal.org/node/200770#comment-658774
Also, I want to find out why items were posted to the front page when I unchecked it from the feed I was creating although the content type had it checked. I'll have to give it a shot again as I don't quite remember whether I had unchecked it when I created the feed or if it was done after the fact after I created it. I was trying out a couple of tutorials. I hope the content type doesn't override the 'local' value in the created feed configuration.
