I am working on a new site.

Is it ok to go ahead and build my Voc/Term structure now using standard Tax or should I wait until you're done with V 6?

Its probably going to be a parnet with 2 levels of childs

ie = region/state/city type of structure

Standard Taxonomy should be stable. It's a development snapshot though, so don't expect it to be 100% stable.
