I'd like my for my users to be able to comment on Acidfree elements so my friends & family can have a discussion on different pictures. I noticed that the default for pictures I uploaded was comments to be disabled. Anyway to change this so it defaults to enabled?

go to admin/node/configure/types/acidfree and configure it how you want.
