User http://drupal.org/user/392561/track has posted what seems like to many posts promoting their site. I thought I would see what others thought though.

Gurpartap Singh commentedWe can't force them to stop, since it's again all about Drupal. But it would be good if we can bring some rant about spam-like promotion in that user's notice. There's another such case with unsolicited Kaltura promotion. I'm not sure if anything has been done for it.
Gurpartap Singh commentedHere's how the Kaltura case was fixed: #361009: Block/warn Roni Rosenan + Kaltura for spam?
gerhard killesreiter commentedThe only thing they do is post links to their site. IMO that's abuse, especially in the handbook.
So, maybe could send them a contact mail.
Gurpartap Singh commentedhttp://drupal.org/node/363472 Single sentence asking to follow an external link in handbooks is enough to be considered for deletion.

johnnocHe has 13 posts and 9 of them are just links to his website. Has he been contacted yet? I can contact him if nobody has done it yet.
Regarding his spam on handbook pages, I already created issue #364031: Handbook spam -3 instances by the same user
Comment #6
WorldFallz commentedDefinitely looks like trying to get advertising without paying to me: http://drupal.org/videocasts/installing-6#comment-1212304
Comment #7
add1sun commentedHas anyone contacted them yet? I am going to delete all of this. It is an abuse and it needs to go. If no one else has contacted yet, I'll send an email explaining why they were deleted.
add1sun commentedI should say that I meant deleting the handbook pages. I sent the following:
EDIT: this is the final text sent.
"I wanted to let you know that we have deleted your handbook pages on
Drupal.org. It came across as spamming. You can read the issue here
http://drupal.org/node/363477. I get the sense that you are just trying to
help out but typically we do not like to link to external resources.
Documentation should be maintained on Drupal.org itself so that we can all
help maintain it and to minimize the risk that third-party sources will
disappear. If you'd like to add the substance of your tutorials to
Drupal.org rather than just linking off, that would be great, and maybe if
you have a bunch to add you can email the docs mailing list
(http://lists.drupal.org/listinfo/documentation) about the best placement
for the pages. Thanks for your documentation efforts and I hope we can find
a good way for you contribute your work back to the community."

avpadernoThe forum posts I read are more about his web site, rather than Drupal. There is then no need to open a new forum post every time he creates a new page in his web site; if he would add a link to his web site, or write a short sentence about his web site in his user profile that would be fine.
Shall all his posts be deleted?
avpadernoI still think that the forum posts where he reports what he added in his personal web site should be deleted, as suggested by add1sun. If he wants to keep us updated about his web site, he can ask to add his site to Planet Drupal, if some of the posts are related to Drupal.
If there are no objection, I would delete those posts where he announces the updates he made at his web site.

WorldFallz commentedimo, go for it.
avpadernoIt is also to notice that he has not posted any new comments since 21 weeks.
it seems that his only interest was to put those "commercial" posts, and nothing more.
avpadernoThe advertising posts have been removed.
