Taxonomy synchronization error

Hi, I have the same problem, but unfortunately this is by design and not a bug. In the module description it says:

For multilingual vocabularies, the terms for all translations will be replaced by the translations of the original node terms.

It would be nice if there was an option to choose between syncing the raw terms or syncing so that translations use their respective translated terms. Changing this into a feature request.

Oops ignore my post above, looks like it's indeed a bug and I misunderstood the wording :/ Changing back to bug report.

Need to do some more testing, but it seems I have the same kind of problem here :\

However, I created two separate vocabularies: an English and a Dutch one. It looks like this:

English vocabulary named "Type" (taxonomy 1):
- Urban photography (term 1)
- Night photography (term 3)
- Studio photography (term 5)

Dutch vocabulary named "Soort" (taxonomy 2):
- Urban fotografie (term 2)
- Nachtfotografie (term 4)
- Studiofotografie (term 6)

My vocabulary translation modes are:
- Set language to vocabulary. The vocabulary will have a global language and it will only show up for pages in that language.

Now this is what happens:

- I create an English node and assign term "Urban photography" (1) to it. Works. So far so good.
- I translate it to the Dutch node and assign term "Urban fotografie" (2) to it. Then it goes wrong...

The term of the English node also changes to the Dutch term "Urban fotografie" (2).
It's the same the other way around...

Did I do something wrong?

I have the same problem. It is listing both language terms while translating the node from default language to another active language. I created the node first in default language, then trying to translate to secondary language. Then the both language terms are displayed, why? Only translated (secondary language) terms should appear.

hey. have you got "Synchronize translations" switched on in the modules page? worked for me...

I am having the same issue. But different comments make me confused.
When I have 'Synchronize translations' switched on, the 'tid' values are synchronized between translations, but they should not be the same, they should be different ('per language terms' creates a new term with a new tid for each new language term).

Anybody any idea ?

In order to have the expected behaviour, it looks much more obvious to use the 'localize terms' setting, or not ?

Encountering the same problem on a bilingual website which I need to launch later today (www.climategreenwash.org).

Any ideas for solving this problem??? Otherwise I can't use hierarchies to list candidates.
