Combine date filters and date arguments

Hello Karens, I know you have too much work to do but it's really too bad that we can't combine date filters and date arguments set with Panel.

I've got a node type who contains a cck date field (only year granuality).
We can rate these nodes, and I display nodes for each year ordering with votingapi...
I'm using Panel to display blocks, each blocks contains the first 10 items, to see the whole ranking, you have just to click on "more" and yu get the page views with the exposed date filter.
I had set panel argument before... so you get the page nodes rankings with the year argument (already set with panel).

On that page, if you want to, you can display another year rankings directly on the page with the exposed date filter...

But the unexpexted results are: You will always have the year nodes ranking, set with panel settings, with the year who would like to display with the date filter. 2 years...

It will be cool when using exposed date filters, that the year argument set with Panel don't be use.
