I am just wondering if this project is still being maintained. There are numerous issues marked "critical" in the queue, there's an RTBC since October 13, 2008, and numerous patches that either need work or review. The last CVS commit was October 6, 2008.
If so, please write a note on the module's page regarding looking for new maintainer/s. If not, probably consider writing a note on looking for co-maintainers.
If I am mistaken, I'm sorry. I just think that this module is one of the most wanted modules of community-driven sites and it's a pity if it's not maintained.
Thanks.

goldschmidt.a commentedI have no idea, but here's some alternatives (haven't tried any of them myself yet). Good luck!

Thanks... but...
First... i don't think these projects you mentioned are the same as Invite. The 3 modules above are just the recommend the page type of functionality whereas Invite module works more like invites in social apps like Facebook, etc. But thanks for the effort in giving support :-)
Second, the real reason I created this issue is to follow the procedure stated on Dealing with abandoned projects so if ever this module isn't maintained anymore then some other developer interested in it can grab it and continue developing the module. Also having this issue in the queue will give prospective users of this module an idea of the present status of the module. But as I also said above, it is possible that the maintainer is just extremely busy at the moment. So, let's wait for the 2 week period to give the maintainer time to respond.

sunIt is still maintained.
If you think that your particular issue deserves more attention then I can only suggest you to help the maintainer by providing/updating patches, TEST existing patches in the queue, and help other users in support requests. By doing so, you let the maintainers know that you care and raise the trust in yourself.

johnnocPersonally, i actually do not need support on this myself. It just seemed that there's no activity going on especially in 6.x.-dev so I am just trying to do my part in the community. Well... sorry for thinking so.

farald commentedGreat news! I was just wondering if it is worth it to start using at a 6.x installation already now, and now I know that it is:)
