PHP to reference parent node

Hi,

I have my taxonomy terms redirected to node pages, and a content type called "review". When a user adds a review they select the taxonomy term. As the taxonomy term page is actually a node, how can I automatically add a node reference of the taxonomy term node being reviewed?
