my site is set up so that the front page goes to a particular url instead of using "node". I noticed that the language block on the front page, instead of linking to:
http://example.com/en
or
http://example.com/es
now links to
http://example.com/en/mainpage
and
http://example.com/es/mainpage

jose reyero commentedBut it works, doesn't it?

Wesley Tanaka commentedI'm under the impression that duplicate content under different URLs tends to attract penalties from Google in terms of search engine rankings. It'd be much nicer to have things point at one canonical URL.

jose reyero commentedYes, you're right. I was just talking about this bug severity.
Fixed now.
