Is there any way to fix this? I'm using calendar+date+views as seen on drupaltherapy, using the datetime field to get repeat options. I have an event that runs every sunday for a year. The month calendar and day calendar are fine, but the event itself shows this sort of entry:
Date:
Repeats every week every Sunday until Thu Dec 31 2009 .
Thu, 2009-01-01 08:00
Sun, 2009-01-04 08:00
Sun, 2009-01-11 08:00
Sun, 2009-01-18 08:00
Sun, 2009-01-25 08:00
...
Is there any way to get it to just report that it repeats every week, rather than also enumerating each repeat?
Thanks,
Michael

peximo commentedThe display options don't work if the date field is in a fieldgroup, because the theme function, which uses the field context to set the display options, does not consider the group data structure.
@Michael Dunlap: I'm posting this patch here because I think you are experiencing the same problem as I did, please let me know if it's true.

Michael Dunlap commentedUnfortunately this patch didn't solve my problem. Viewing an event node still shows me each date in the repeat series. In page view I can disable the showing of repeat options, but in node view this option isn't available.

peximo commented@Michael Dunlap: sorry, I can't get what you mean with page view and node view. The patch should be effective if you are using a datefield in a field group. Is this the case?

Michael Dunlap commentedI don't know what a field group is. I'm using the CCK and views modules, plus calendar and date modules. The date browser view shows the repeating event I've created, but it displays the date field in the way I described before. What I'm looking for is a method to have it not display all the dates in the set. Here's the calendar I'm working on: http://wu.its.yale.edu/drupal/calendar. If you click on one of the repeating events, I think you'll see what I mean.

peximo commented@Michael Dunlap: Have you tried to set the options for the display of the field date? Try to go to admin/content/node-type//display, where is the node type of yours events. Here you can set how many dates showing, the range of dates to be displayed and whether or not showing the repeat rule.

Michael Dunlap commentedAh ha! Peximo you rock. That was exactly the fix I needed. Now I can configure it to show me only the repeat options and none of the actual dates. Thank you thank you thank you!
