Just installed Latest advanced forum module and the latest user stats module.

I have the users (authenticated) able to view user stats in the permissions. But, at the time only had the IP viewable to a moderator's group I created. Regular (authenticated) users kept getting an error of ip_address_statistic doesn't exist. I would imagine that if the users didn't have the permissions to view the IP and nothing would be displayed and no error thrown.

Have you tried with the latest -dev version? I believe this problem has been fixed. Do reply here if it hasn't been fixed though. :)

I am getting the same issue;

"user warning: Statistic "ip_address" does not exist. in /home/www/brnoexpats.com/drupal/sites/all/modules/user_stats/user_stats.module on line 167

Running 6.3, latest version of module and of Advanced Forum.

Please advise.

Same issue here. This is with 6.3, 6.x-1 beta 2 and advanced forum.
