When adding a new font to sites/default/files/flir/fonts and refreshing the Flir admin page, the new font does not appear.

make sure it doesn't have caps in the name or spaces or other weird characters. FLIR is picky about what it recognizes and applies correctly.

That did it. The file name was in all caps. I changed it then it was recognized. That is unfortunate and interesting, especially since the default font file name is in all caps.
