Content Type appearance & preconstructed content typs available for dowload!!

i am trying to make my own content type "commercial news"
I have made it but I am unable:
1. Make the fresh five entries into a block (for eg like recent blogs or recent comments (which appears in the side bar)).
2. To show these commercial news on a pge of their other than the front page (or the item specific page) i.e. I want to have them as entities on their own page. Like you have the blog or the forum page.
3. Are there any pre constructed content typs available for downloads (other than the CCK?)

I was thinking about learning CCk before Views module - I will give it a shot!
Can you kindly tell on the page "adding a new content type" what does the option "Make a listing page for this content type" means -you have the option to check it or leave it blank?

I have no idea what is generating that checkbox for you. Core Drupal creates listings on the front page and per vocabulary term.
Sounds like you are using a module that is adding that setting. Maybe the indexpage.module?
If not, please mention the path that this setting is living on.

Are there any content types
Are there any content types available online (other than the ones that come with drupal)?
I am trying to make a movie review type (actually it is ready) but I want to make a template which averages out the total. For instance if three users rate it (on a scale of 1 - 5) 3, 4 & 5 - The average user rating should show 4.

You have to create a content
You have to create a content type by yourself using cck fields. For rating I hope Five star module http://drupal.org/project/fivestar will solve your problem

By the way I managed to create the box (from my first email) using simple view, as per your suggestion!
I am unable to create a link for them (like the blog, or forum).
The url for the blogs is "home/blog"; the url for forum is "home/forum"; so I tried to create one for the new content type (in primary menu) but it said that the page does not exist.

It is my first website ever and all the knowledge based on two weeks of interaction on this forum and drupal.

1a. I am not making this via the CCK but with the user profile module.
2. Please tell me how can I view all the fields as a major sheet (like in MS excel) or as a database.

It's added by Simple Views
The "Make a listing page for this content type" checkbox is added by the Simple Views module. As it says on that project's page, "every content type gets a simple checkbox on its configuration screen: 'Make a listing page for this content.' When it's checked, the module... makes a custom listing page, complete with RSS feed, filtered to just that content type."

For gender selection in a profile
create a check box or a select box in administer -> profiles.
