The only thing I just can't figure out how to do with Drupal is creating a multilingual galleries... I read a tons of posts and still nothing. Please, tell me it's possible somehow!

I just need to sync the imagefield for the translated nodes. I don't want to reupload the same images for each language and to sort them each time. Also when I delete it, I want it deleted everywhere in every translation.

What exactly do you need to translate from a picture: the caption, description?

Just the caption is good enought for me :)

How are you translating the nodes?

Via i18n modules. When I translate a node it creates a duplicate node with tnid of the original node.

I made a successful bilingual gallery by modifying PROG Gallery. But I only made the gallery translation, not the image translation. However it's better than nothing.

But PLEASE, Drupal needs a real multilingual gallery out of the box. I hope D7 will bring the tools to create one :)

"hoping" is not usually very effective. There's no magical drupal development team with esp to suss out what users need/want. If this feature is important to you, you might consider participating in the d7 or i18n development effort and/or submitting a feature request.

The forum is most often not the best place for questions about specific modules, better too have a look in their individual issue queueus, like http://drupal.org/node/278426.
