By I wish Drupal had a Business Directory Module on

Anybody know how it is possible to create a directory such as this one here:

It looks as if it is search driven. I've tried to create a similar directory by using various mods including CCK, views, panels, taxonomy, directory, category etc but haven't achieved anything like the sample ablove.

From searching through the Drupal.org website, it looks as if there are numerous users looking to create a similiar directory. In fact, one particular thread goes back as far as 2003 but with no resolve!

Surely there has to be an easier way than trying to intergrate several different mods.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Sorry it took so long, I think I understand now

You need to grab this module http://drupal.org/project/hierarchical_select

Unless I am missing something it then should just be a matter of a content type, taxonomy and some views. The only question I would have is core taxonomy or content taxonomy. I am fairly new at Drupal but if I can help I will. I 'm going to have to use this module to do pretty much the same thing you are looking to do but have been finishing a different project the past couple of days.
If I get a chance tonight I'll try and give it a shot.
