While trying to find a good solution for group hierarchy, I discovered that many people used Node Relativity to provide this functionality.

Why is Subgroups better than Node Relativity? Why do their need to be two different projects?

og_subgroups can propagate content and users. Maybe it would make sense to combine these modules if we wanted a single parent, however as Ezra-g is planing to rewrite this part, so every group can have multiple-parents, these modules should remain separate.
