Can't control display of repeating event dates in jCalendar pop-up

When I click on an event in a (e.g. monthly) Calendar View the pop-up respects some of the field display settings (e.g. whether to display the repeat rule) but the display of actual dates is a bit odd. If I leave the Show ... values box blank then the pop-up very conveniently shows the date of the instance I clicked on :-) ... but then in teaser view I will get the full list of all dates it occurs on :-(

On the other hand if I put anything in the Show ... values box then the pop-up shows no actual date(s) at all :-(
