Description

I thought this is a problem with IMCE. I set up a fresh website, when I installed IMCE 6.x-1.2 and BUEditor 6.x-1.3, the editor works but the IMCE did not. IMCE opens this window instead.

Help!
Tips:

    * Select a file by clicking the corresponding row in the file list.
    * Ctrl+click to add files to the selection or to remove files from the selection.
    * Shift+click to create a range selection. Click to start the range and shift+click to end it.
    * Sort the files by clicking a column header of the file list.
    * Resize the work-spaces by dragging the horizontal or vertical resize-bars.
    * Keyboard shortcuts for file list: up, down, left, home, end, ctrl+A.
    * Keyboard shortcuts for selected files: enter/insert, delete, R(esize), T(humbnails), U(pload).
    * Keyboard shortcuts for directory list: up, down, left, right, home, end.

Limitations:

    * Maximum file size per upload: unlimited
    * Permitted file extensions: all
    * Maximum image resolution: 1200x1200
    * Maximum number of files per operation: unlimited

I tried to look around with IMCE but all my settings are fine. I upgrade the BUEditor from 6.x-1.2 to 6.x-1.3 in my old website where everything works fine, IMCE stops working after the upgrade and I receive the same message instead of the working IMCE window.

I can't reproduce this. And noone else seems to.
Please disable browser cache and drupal's javascript cache and try again.

I get the same problem, (non-functioning file browser window), with bueditor 6x.1.3 and imce 6x.1.2, BUT only on web sites I host on hostgator. I have a few sites hosted on godaddy that use the same modules without a problem but on hostgator: a fresh drupal 6.13 install with only the bueditor and imce installed, the bueditor upload file does not work.

I can go to the user file browser and upload images fine with imce, but when I click the bueditor photo button on a new node form, the pop up window only shows the help text. If I make the window larger so I can see the browse button, I can select a file on my desktop but when I hit the upload button it takes me to a 'Page can not be found' page.

If anyone knows why these modules would behave differently depending on the hosting server, I'd love to hear why.

BUE calls IMCE with an URL containing the word "onload". If your host is running mod_security and blocked this word in referrer URLs then you have to ask them to remove or improve the filter.
Test it by entering yourdomain/?anywordcontainingonload. If you get access denied error or your page with no images or css then it means the filter is on.

If that's not the case you have to provide more technical information.

Thanks ufku,

your diagnosis was exactly correct, I contacted hostgator and they disabled two filters on my domain and now BUE works as expected.

Hello ufku, mine too was resolved by what jday said. I am also from Hostgator and they disabled two filters, they did not mention the filters though. Thank you very much. This issue is now marked as fixed, I was now able to upgrade to your latest release. Thank you for your IMCE and BUEditor modules, they are awesome.
