Sorry, have found this rather later. I found the original thread (http://drupal.org/node/228818) when looking for a workaround for the IE not handling more that 30 stylesheets.

I am using Drupal 6.15 and a template based on the 960 Grid System v6.x-4.3 (which is based on Zen v6x-1.1).

Using module did not fix IE. However, using your code from the original thread did - I added it to the xxxx_preprocess_page function in my template.php.

I am pressed for time on the current project so can't investigate the code much further - but thought this information might be useful for you. I am happy to try a later version of your module if a "fix" is available.
