I've installed Simplenews, everything looks fine to me but subscriptions from unregistered user is extremely slow. It takes more than one minute from sending the request via simplenews block to the message about confirmation e-mail.

Do you have an idea where is the problem?

Sorry, problem was in handling emails on server not in Simplenews module.
