I have created a release for the head version of my project..
now that i have made a new branch and i am not able to create a release for that...

can anyone tell me possibly what can be the issue??

Did you follow the instructions on the ``CVS instructions'' tab? Probably should be renamed to just Instructions so the ignorant will look. Everything you need to do is spoon fed to you. Let us know if you need more help and if you do change the status back to active.
