I am using cron and whenever it does a retrieval of the mail, all the posts get duplicated. It seems as if it retrieves all new posts and old posts and place them on the drupal site.
I have used this before but it never happened when I connected to gmail, now I am connecting to another mail server the duplication happens. Infact I am still connected to gmail but there is no duplication on the side of gmail.

This issue is not informative enough. However, can you please see if #368860: Mailhandler processes ALL messages if "Delete messages after they are processed" option is checked. answers your problem and report if it did?
