Enabling og_forum breaks all forums

Just as the title suggests, enabling the og_forum module breaks all forums and containers. It seems as though it just breaks the display of them. When I tried creating forums with the module on, I apparently failed. I disabled the module and went back to admin > forums, and the forums I attempted to create were right there waiting for me. If I try to create forums with the module off, they are created and displayed OK, but as soon as I turn og_forum on, they disappear. They don't show up in admin > forums or in the forum selection box of the create forum form. (What an awkward sentence...)
