Issue Summary
in your readme you state:
"You can also track the username and/or user ID who visits each page.
This data will be visible in Piwik as segmentation data.
If you enable the profile.module you can also add more detailed
information about each user to the segmentation tracking."
Can you provie clearer instructions on how to enable "UserName" tracking in piwik? Where is segmentation tracking in piwik?

I need to change the readme. For privacy reasons this has been dropped and is no longer available. I will not support anybody in any way to illegally track individual users.

Google Analytics modue allows segmentation and supplies the following disclaimer.
"Segment users based on different properties, additionally to the basic IP address based tracking provided by Google Analytics. Make sure you will not associate (or permit any third party to associate) any data gathered from Your Website(s) (or such third parties' website(s)) with any personally identifying information from any source as part of Your use (or such third parties' use) of the Google Analytics service. For more information see section 8.1 in the Google Analytics terms of use. Selecting one or more values is supported. To select multiple items, hold down CTRL (PC) or ⌘ (Mac) while selecting fields."
Why can't you do the same?
If a Drupal implementation is for a private Intranet, why should it not be able to track custom profile information, as long as the proper disclaimers are in place?

This module will do the same like GA module does, but this means no username and userid tracking at all.
Aside this is a no-brainer... this functionality you are talking about is not yet available in piwik... it's only the piwik readme taken over from GA that hasn't been fully cleaned up for piwik. Piwik does not support segmentation yet and therefore I have removed the code from this module until this may become available.
This text needs to be removed from readme.txt that's all:
