this is more like an OCD than a real support request... LOL so please bear with me.

let's say I have vocabulary #1 being "images" and vocabulary #2 being "newsletter". can I change those around without side effects? I mean, of course, applying the corect settings found in admin/settings/simplenews/general and admin/content/taxonomy/edit/vocabulary/1?

I ask this because I noticed that whenever I assign a certain vocabulary to Simplenews, the settings for such vocabulary vary slightly. I don't know if there's anything else happening under the hood, though.

of course if this is harmful to any newsletters already written or still to be, I'll leave it alone and take some valium so I can sleep at night... LOL

Subscription lists are assigned to the term ID. Changing vocabularies on a working system will cause loss of all subscriptions. Different vocab settings are forced by simplenews because it does not support free tagging and deleting the newsletter vocab is not allowed.
