Hi everyone, I'm the developer of udashboard, I'm planning to add some features to this module and I would like to know what you have in mind. Please post comments and add suggestions. Also, please let me know which one of this features you would like to see first, what's more important for you?

  • Custom Icons per content type on node/add page
  • Easier to add views to the udashboard
  • Easier configuration settings page
  • Better help messages by default
  • Possibility to change the tabs name.
  • Better documentation...
  • Translation template...
  • ...

Finally, I'm a NNE and probably there's some people out there who could help specially with the default messages and with better written documentation. Please create issues and provide patches or just write the lines and I'll create the patches.

If you need help with the English stuff, I can help out. I'm more of a themer, I mostly skirt around php by just living off zen and standard modules. However, I would like to take more babysteps into drupal module speak.

Sure, thanks Sammy, anything you could do with "Better help messages by default" would make a big difference. Please create a separate issue, it's not necessary to attach patches, just the text and I'll do the rest. With good help messages I could start working on the translation template.

It's good to know you also speak spanish, if there's anything I can't say in english I'll ask you :)

I am still waiting for a user space that allows for a display of content the user can edit, not just the content the user has authored. I have posted a feature request for views (http://drupal.org/node/243215), chimed in for this functionality for the Content Management Filter (http://drupal.org/node/328869), and hoped for far too long that workspace might include this functionality (http://drupal.org/node/59924). Anyway, maybe it will be something your module does as a first. Thanks for developing this module. It sounds like a good one!

Interesting. Maybe out of the scope of this module.

In the next weeks I'll be releasing a new version of this module, one of the main features will be to use views_bulk_operations as a new option for managing content since is easier than the drupal admin/content/node page..

One thing left behind with 6.x-1.x-dev was the automatic creation of views, it was planed, but somehow I became too busy to keep the work on that version.. Next version will provide some views by default.

I'm also thinking on letting the user choose how to display the help message, the user will have two options, as a help message or as an icon that opens a popup to read the help.

I'll also try to incude custom icons and and easier settings page. The feature that's going to take some time will be how to have an easier way to add views to the udashboard.

I'm also thinking about creating a new 'Start' page and moving the 'content' to another tab.

I am using Panels 3 to creat a page for every role of my website with the link to every admin page with icons... It seems a great module
