Red admin_menu looks horrible

I don't want to be rude or anything, but after upgrading to the latest dev-release, I got a shock...
I use it only several sites and black is a nice color that works on most themes, why did you have to change it to red?
I know I can override the CSS, but I think the admin_menu should have been kept black and let people change it if they need to.. as said, black works in most cases...
