Hi guys,

I would like to use a normal textfield (not Autocomplete textfield) to search for records because the field being searched is confidential and I don't want to display any choices for the user. I know that I can select "Equals - Autocomplete suggestions must match the typed keywords exactly." for the option "Autocomplete matching". However, a pop-up text field is still displayed if there is an exact match.

Would you please tell me how I can disable the autocomplete feature completely? Many many thanks in advance.

You know, I contemplated putting a plain textfield in, but then I thought: Who the heck would use a plain text field?

I've added a 'Finder Text' module, if you enable it you will get a 'text' option when creating an element.
