This bug has to do with editing the iCal display in the calendar view. You can adjust how node fields are mapped to iCal data fields by clicking on the Gear next to Style: iCal Feed in the display's Basic Settings. Supposedly, you should be able to select any field defined in the display to map to one of the three iCal fields.

The bug arises if you override the view's default Fields for the iCal display. E.g., when editing the iCal display, click on the Fields header, and click on override. Then delete an existing field, or define some new fields that are different from the fields in the Default display. Now go back to the iCal style settings. The new, overridden fields do not appear; and fields that have been removed by the override remain.

The fields from the Default display, and only the fields from the Default display, are available to map to iCal fields. Instead, the overridden fields for the iCal display should be listed here.

I also tested this with current -dev and the bug appears to exist there, as well.

a workaround is to add the desired extra fields to the Default view and select the "Exclude from display" option.

thought it still takes the settings for "Link this field to its term page" and "Rewrite the output of this field" (and i'd assume others) from the Override fields rather than the Defaults if the former exist.

Unfortunately the Drupal 6 version of the Date module is no longer supported. That said, we appreciate that you took time to work on this issue. Should this request still be relevant for Drupal 7 please feel free to reopen it. Thank you.
