Forwarding non-node pages such as views

Do you have the $help variable in your theme?

So, what's with the $help variable?

I've got the same issue and I've got that variable in my page.tpl.php theme.

The forward icon/link isn't showing in a view. It does show in the teasers but there isn't one for the full view itself. I have to say that it does show in the block if I set it.

Is that the expected behaviour?

I am re-opening and updating this issue because I am having the same issue described here for D8.

I have placed the Forward block in a region and it will not display on a view page. I have also changed my theme to Bartik to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong.

Does forward not work on view pages?

As noted on the Documentation referenced on the module page:

Forward does not allow you to forward non-node paths yet.

Not soon. If I get a few requests I'll probably end up adding it later this year. You are more than welcome to supply a patch that adds it as well, if you are a developer and have the time.

To help with #3025658: Release 8.x-2.2 I'm trying to triage the issue queue here a bit.

Seems like this would have to be in 8.x-3.x if it were to happen at all, right?
