Organic Groups, Multiple Group Home Page Views

Currently ramming my head into the wall. Is it possible to utilise multiple home page views for group home pages? I need to have one home page default to og_ghp_ron and another one to a table view and so on, all on one site. I have poured over Google and the forums to no avail. Any help is appreciated.

I poked about in subgroups, but saw nothing on having a different view structure for a group home page. Now that I am not suffering end-of-work despair, I can define my needs a little better. What I very much would like to do is:
1) Override the default Group Home Page view (typically River of News) for certain groups only, while having the default still apply to others. This is required by my employer where numerous departments require personalised tweaks to the functionality of their home page views.
2) Do so in a manner that involves minimal tweaking of the underlying code. If I could do it by a module or in Views/OG solely I would do a jig.
I have tried numerous paths such as embedding the view (doesn't fly with OG) and arguments with a second ghp-like view (not applicable?). If it is not feasible then I will push this to a feature request as I believe it is a very sane thing to ask for developing Intranet-like sites, if it is doable then I would like to know how.

That was an excellent idea in a roundabout way. The module itself didn't function for my purposes, but the idea of blockinizing the view and shoving it into "content top" works quite nicely for our purposes. Control on the groups can be applied by limiting the block to only the pages needed and tweaking the view filter for organic groups: posts only in this group. This is an effective work around giving the page a FAQ feel with a row listing at the top and the assignments spooling out below.
It's a bit jerry-rigged and suffers some issues, but it will do for now. Should the original idea of defining multiple G.H.P. views be advanced as a feature request? I've run into some emails from the last few years wondering about this and it would seem to be a useful feature. Any thoughts?

I too am in need of multiple views for OG default (og_ghp_ron) pages, I have read that it is possible (however the solution I am unable to find) On my test site, I am able to do this by "hacking" the OG module, not really the way to proceed.
Sorry, I don't have a non "jerry-rigged" or, as we say in the Queen's English: "Jerry built" answer to your problem.

Would OG Panels have been another approach - basically means you would be creating a new home page using panels for each OG.
