I was wondering if anyone knew how to convert the Drupal version of Kubrick to be 3 columns set up as Content - Sidebar - Sidebar.

Basically I'm looking to do something like this with it:

I don't know much about CSS but am willing to learn, and would like to know how someone would go about this in general, not just specifically for this theme.

Thanks!

Coop

If you're not able to get anywhere with hacking it yourself, you could try bloggy.co.uk (Google search for drupal+themes)

If you know anything about php then modifying a theme is not very hard. Basically all you do is, since its a phptemplate theme, modify page.tpl.php. Right now it should just have a 2 column layout. If it's done in a table as many of the older ones are then just add another column. Then eneter the code to show the new sidebar. Then you just put in the css info in style.css to go along with your new sidebar. You should be able to figure out the naming schemes once you take a look at the files. You shouldn't have much to enter as far as css goes other than sizing maybe to get going. The basic coloring should be applied to both sidebars by default.

He has it available for download on that same page, but its not the same exact one he is using on his weblog. The fonts are a little different, and there are a lot of other changes as well.

You could try porting it to Drupal, I did a while back but there were several problems with the right and left blocks not showing up properly. I’m guessing there are some people here who may be able to help you out.

I managed to get this three column setup you would need to understand CSS. There is no two ways about it. Check out my three column -CONTENT-SIDEBAR-SIDEBAR right here www.xhydra.com
