michelleIt's an incompatability with fivestar. Something in their star code messes with the layout. I've seen it before but have no idea what or even if anything can be done about it. I'll leave this open for a while in case someone has an idea.

darrelk commentedThanks Michelle,
I've tested it out and it works perfectly fine now. =)
You're a savour.
Cheers

michelleWell, no, the problem still exists with fivestar. So let's leave this open a while. Not that it's likely anyone will come along and fix it but you never know.

mjourney2 commentedThe only thing I was able to do is move the fivestar rating to the bottom of the node. There is no empty space then.
The problem remains if a user rates the node and then posts a comment. In that case, the user's rating shows up above the comment, leaving a big gap between that rating and the comment.
Maybe this thread should go under the fivestar module issues?

michelleWell, we can try it there. But they're probably going to say it's a theme problem. When two modules don't work well together, you end up between queues, unfortunately. Since I'm not using Fivestar in my forums, yet, this isn't a priority for me.
