Using drupal 6

i know tht drupal now allows a lot of media modules
yet i feel tht it sucks when it comes to themes for a media site??

can anyone suggest some theme(available free) to make a media website like you tube or http://www.cultureunplugged.com/
Also the set of modules tht shud be used to get an efficient user controlled site

please guide me through this
