Sometimes 98% sometimes 97%.
This happens after using the vbulletin to drupal import module then updating permissions.
Also happens when I use the wordpress to drupal import and update permissions.
After the update process hangs, nodes are accessible or not unpredictably.

Any ideas what to look for that might be causing the permissions update to stop?

97/98% isn't the first step, is it?

If it isn't, I don't know where to look. But if you don't have a zillion of forums and nodes, you can change the FA settings and use the Update the permissions: for all X nodes immediately option and update each forum separately. This might help you to narrow down where the problem occurs (at least down to one forum).

This is NOT a work-around or fix though! You must get [Rebuild permissions] to work before you can rest easy.

It was hitting 98% after slowly progressing to that pt.
We can close this one now though. I've come to the conclusion that my data was dirty... had dome some importing, etc. and it didn't all go right.
Working fine now w/clean data.
