Hi,
I am a user who can create and manage my own sites on a aegir platform.
The administrator gave me the permission "view own tasks" but I cannot see my own tasks.
He has to give me the permission "view tasks" so I can see them. But it means I can see other one's tasks...

This is also only in the frontend (hosting).

I tested this now, and made a slight fix to it.

You need the 'view task log' permission to click on the view link.
this is completely reasonable.

also , you cant see other people's tasks with only the view own task + view task log permissions.
