Can anyone suggest which theme would give, a Header or Banner which would take my logo on left and have two blocks to the right for (live link) advertisements, and two equally divided or almost equally divided columns below. Suckerfish drop down menu below the Banner and color changing are pluses but not required.

For some parts, you might be interested in the concept at http://drupal.org/project/liteforum. Unfortunately it needs to solve the sidebars problem first by now :(

Take a look at Newswire, from what I can infer this is the layout you are looking for, and has suckerfish and multiple color style sheets (a theme setting). See this site for an example of the layout - http://www.lancefestivalen.se/
