It is currently set to 01/01/1970 whatever the entry. Should be set to the date for which the term if WOTD.

Fixed in version 1.10: it now uses the date the node was chosen as a WOTD for the pubDate element of the item.

The fix included in version 1.10 has a side effect: all G2 nodes are stamped with the WOTD date in RSS feeds. This is fixed in version 1.11.
