this is an IE 8 specific issue. When you go to edit a picture and try to drag around the croppable area, or resize it, you are not able to do so.

Nope, this is not a dupe, IE8 is not mentioned there.

Nonetheless - I could use any help wrt Windows OS browsers, as I do not have access to a Windows machine.

I had this problem too.

It worked for Firefox, ie7, but in IE8, I did can't move or resize the selected area in the 'crop area'.

Testing your demo site on ie8, i saw it worked, so i installed the dev version...

and it works for all !
