Looking for two modules. Do they exist?
Hi there. I've been experimenting with Drupal and other CMS systems for awhile and at this point I'm leaning towards Drupal. Kudos to the development team! :)
I'm helping two friends develop two separate sites, each based on a CMS (hopefully Drupal). Each person has a specific purpose for their site and needs a specialized module, but I don't know if they exist in Drupal. I've found reasonably similar modules for other CMS's but after spending about a half hour going through the Drupal module download section I can't find anything that really meets their needs. If anyone has any suggestions (and no, I'm not a programmer and can't write them myself!) please let me know.
1. Basically a quiz module. Users enter the module and select which quiz they want. Each quiz question shows a picture and, under it, a written question pertaining to the picture, and a multiple choice selection for an answer. The user selects one (or more?) answers and proceeds to the next question, and so forth until the quiz is over. When complete, the quiz gives the person a results page that can be customized depending on the percentage of answers which were correct.
2. My other friend is a motivational speaker. Currently his site is static and not very interactive. People email him to register for a class; he uses an Excel spreadsheet to keep track of class attendance, and uses PayPal to send invoices and manage billing. What he'd like is a system where he can list the classes he offers and people can sign up for them right on his site, paying directly through the site (or using a gateway to PayPal works too). If a given class is at capacity the system shouldn't let new people register. If someone wants to be sent an email alert if a spot opens up they should have the option.
Anything like that exists for Drupal?

When you're searching for
When you're searching for modules it's best to go to the category that you're looking for.
Or use Drupal search for keywords and narrow it down to projects (see the right hand side of the page when searching). There's a list of categories on the right-hand side. It used to be different and more usable, but for performance reasons the d.o team made the site less usable. Go figure. I still use google search.

You may also want to checkout the http://drupal.org/project/signup and related modules (listed on the project page) -- i believe that's what drupal.org uses for cons.
