Issue Summary
Hello,
My hosting environment does not allow me to set chmod777 and has it set to automatically revert to 775. I'm guessing this is why I can't add any photos. Any other workarounds?

I should also note that my host was kind of annoyed at me trying to run a script to chmod 777....

Please can someone reply and help? If the above assumption on my part (that the issue is chmod775) is correct, is there a workaround? Is there something I can tell my host that will reassure them this is safe (is it??)? If I am wrong, and 777/775 has nothing to do with why this isn't working - what else can it be??
Please...

Unfortunately, if the created folder is not writable by your HTTP server, you're out of luck...
This is old so I'll just mark it closed won't fixed, anyway no one supports 5.x. Sorry.
Personally, I don't like the chmod to 777 and will probably add something to avoid it later. The default should work anyway...
Thank you.
