I have the Guestbook module (version 6.x-1.1) and the Forward module (version 6.x-1.4). I use Drupal 6.10
How to add custom fields to these modules? They come with certain preset fields and I want to add some more fields to them. For example, The Forward Module comes with the following fields, to recommend our site to someone else.
- Your Email
- Your Name
- Your Personal Message
Now I would like to add some more fields to it. What is the way to go about it? Somebody suggested (in http://drupal.org/node/100152 ) that I should add Guestbook as a content type...How to do that?

You don't add fields to modules, you add fields to content types. In order to be able to add fields, you first need to have the cck module installed. Then, assuming those modules create content types, you can add fields to those module created content types just like any other content type.
